As an early stage non-profit, with little staff resources, we are eager for volunteers to contribute time and talents to help us. Your involvement will help us develop and implement programs and raise money to fund treatments, and ultimately a cure for mitochondrial disease. The Foundation for Mitochondrial Medicine seeks volunteers in the following areas:
Hope Flies Benefit Event-September 11, 2010, Atlanta
Day of Event Committee Members - those willing to help on the day of the event with the auction, registration desk, greeting people, cleaning up, etc. arriving at approximately noon for set up and staying until approximately 11pm for clean-up.
Silent Auction Committee Members - those that can secure auction items and arrange pick-up.
Corporate Sponsor and Inkind Donation Committee Members - those that can secure commitment and facilitate contribution.
General Support
Marketing Communications - assist with execution of marketing communication strategy, including social media components.
Outreach and Support - communicate with previous donors, patient families and medical community to inform them of FMM progress
Partnerships and Alliances - assist with forging and developing relationships with relevant mitochondrial related organizations and others, in addition to the community of pertinent medical professionals.
Fundraising and Development - work in conjunction with executive director and designated board members to generate contribution and support for the foundation.
Administrative Support - work with executive director on periodic mailings, database management and other related tasks.
